listener-thread: err = -25572

I am having problems when trying to create one link with one database of another machine. I create in onconfig line NETTYPE soctcp, 1, 32, NET. Low the bank, and when initiating it generates the following message:
listener-thread: err = -25572: oserr = 99: errstr = : Network driver cannot bind a name to the port.

I am twirling RH to 7,3 and informix 9.30. In case that the message is half confused, it is that I am not fluente in English.

Here is the explanation of this message, along with a possible solution

A system call has failed. The sqlexecd daemon or INFORMIX-OnLine
Dynamic Server cannot access the network port that is specified by the
servicename in the sqlhosts file for the database server. This
situation might occur because the network port is already in use by
another sqlexecd, database server, or other application. Use a
different servicename on the command line (prior to Version 6.0) or in
the sqlhosts file (beginning with Version 6.0). Contact your UNIX

Hi marcos,

in advance of Dodge's post you should check if the port you gave in the sqlhosts file is used from another programm (in /etc/services) or ask your system-admin if there is an application which uses this port.
You can specify another port for Informix if neccesary.
