Hi,

in reponse to the voyager worm I am looking at putting a password n all listener files and changing the tns default listner port for all my databases.

What are the potential implications of doing this?

Will i need to change the listener file on every client if I make these changes?

thanks in advance.

Hi,

to answer your second question:
As you probably know, you don't need a listener file on any client.
But you will have to change the tnsnames.ora file on every client, to reflect the new port.

I am not aware of any other implications. But maybe others are?

regards
