Thanks in advance for any help: I am trying to setup a mailbox that is listen only. Play a greeting "ALL system fine next update in one hour" then hang up. Can some one help??
I am running MM 5.11 I think

You need to setup a caller application that terminates and record the greeting.

Thanks for the info. Big question WHY??? Old VM's allowed Bulletin board. Record greeting Done. Do you have any doc's on creating the caller app.

I have tried to extreme frustration!! I can't get her to hang up after the announcement. Any help would be great!

Ok I get this caller App BUT she either wont play the announcement and justs hangs up or plays the announcement and won't hang up. FUSTRATING to say the least.

Are you using an announcement or prompt? A prompt will be stored in the caller app itself while an announcement is taken from a MM mailbox. In any case the prompt or announcement will need to be recorded. If you are using a prompt, then the recording must be done, then the caller app saved and then deployed before it will be used. If you are using an announcement, then you will need to indicate that in the caller app, then saved, then deployed. You can record the announcement ahead of time in the mailbox if you wish but will only be used if the caller app is setup to do so.

In either case, a terminating caller app should always terminate the call after the prompt or announcement is played (assuming they exist).
