Listbox - field shows up in foreign language?

This is bizarre... I have a listbox displaying results in a foreign language but only one on of the fields.

There are two listboxes on the form and both can show this data, but only one of the boxes transforms the characters on the problem field to a different language. It's difficult to describe so look at the attached picture. In the 'Description' box on the top the results are displayed incorrectly, but the box on the bottom that is pulling the data from the same place displays the data correctly.

Thoughts?!

check the "Numeral Shapes" property of the combo box.

It's set to 'System' (which I believe is default).

What is your system setting? Check under regional and language settings in the control panel.

English (United States). Also - I've witnessed this problem on multiple computers (it's possible that it could be on the wrong setting on all of them, but unlikely).

This is a little out of my league so hopefully someone will chime in. Try this and see what shows up:
Click Start,
Programs,
Microsoft Office Tools.
Check the Microsoft Office Language Settings dialog. See if anything else is enabled besides English.

Unfortunately no. The primary language is English and the only enabled language is English.
