How do I change the font size in a combo box? It seems like I can resize the box, but
there is no way to make the values larger.

Thanks

Hi comconark,

Your question has been asked often, and the only answer I've seen, is that "there is no answer". Specifically, there appears to be no way to make the values larger within the ComboBox options.

I use Excel '97, and I can't recall anyone reporting a change to this SEVERE LIMITATION in any more recent versions of Excel. So it would appear this is yet another example of Microsoft IGNORING Excel users regarding fixing EXISTING BUGS and LIMITATIONS.

HOWEVER, IF you want to go to the trouble, the following would be a "work-around".

Steps:

1) Increase the "Zoom" size of your worksheet - say to approximately 150%.

2) Decrease your default font size for the worksheet - say to approximately 8 points.

3) For printing, to compensate for the small font size, do this: In the "Page Setup" window, click on the "Page" tab, and opposite "Adjust to: _____ % of normal size, use approximately 125 percent.

I hope this helps. :) Please advise as to whether you end up using this an an option, and how "workable" it is.

Dale & Comconrk,

sfvb answered this in Comconrk's MS Office thread68-314167. I was playing around with this but saw no need to post in light of sfvb's reply. I did discover (maybe it's well-known?) that the userform/listbox must be "live" for this code to take effect, unlike other control properties. It seems if you want to adjust the font size in response to the userform size you will need to attach it to some event handler or other control on the userform.
