Hi,Avaya guy figuring out Nortel which I haven't touched for years.
Got a Nortel phone that was Call Forwarded to an Avaya within the same building. All Nortel calls go over a tie to the Avaya trunks to get out.
Problem is the Avaya that the Nortel is forwarded to has been reassigned to someone else, the display on the Avaya shows the pilot number for the tie not the calling number. I've asked that she ask the caller what number they're dialling to track it down.
Is there a command on the Nortel eg List Call Forward (Avaya) that shows all the forwarded extensions and where they are forwarded to or even better can I search on the Avaya extension to find the Nortel that is using it?
Cheers,

Assuming the Nortel is a "Meridian 1" or "CS1000" model PBX, the fastest way to track down an errant Call Forward is to do what we call "Print a full TNB" to a capture file/text file.

Then using a text editor, do a 'find' on the number of the Avaya extension/telephone number.

There is not a command that says "show me who is forwarded to X" so you have to get a snapshot of the whole system and search that way.

Thanks GHTROUT,
Managed to get the output of prt tnb and find my Avaya extension (3093), raised a few more questions though, one of which is how to remove the forward, output is below. I guess the "Phantom" bit means there's not a physical endpoint (?) but calls to 5753 end up at 3093 which has a mailbox with fax capability.

User also tells me they're recieving calls meant for a number I can't find in the output, if I do prt dnb 5100, it tells me it's a LDN (listed directory number?).

Thanks for your help, I'll keep working on it, my Nortel guru will be back in a couple of days if I can't get it.

Cheers,

Thanks for your help guys, next problem is finding out from the business what this "Fax" is actually meant to be doing instead of forwarding to a person.
Thanks again for all your help.
