Hi, I'm configuring a internal modem (US Robotic) for dial out connection on solaris 8 intel. The problem is as root when I go to /dev/term/ and I can't find a, b. I go to /dev/cua/a and even ../cua/ does not exist. I use admintool to check serial ports and got error 'list serial port failed'. How to resolve it? Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I tried # drvconfig;ports, and still can't find a, b under /dev/term. cua does not exist under /dev neither. Any other suggestion? Thanks.

If you are running Solaris 8 Intel try:

devfsadm -i <driver for modem>

Make sure you have the driver installed under /kernel/drv
