Is it possible to show the power supplies in an AIX system, maybe with lsdev or lscfg?

Thanks,

Shane

Not at a system right now, but you might try:

/usr/lpp/diagnostics/bin/uesensor -l

This will only work on non-LPAR systems and depending upon the age of the system itself, might or might not list the power supply information but worth a shot.

Also, I think that's the path to the command.

Chuck

Does anyone know if there is a comparable command to "uesensor" for LPAR systems?

Thanks,
Ethan

This system is not LPAR'd.

Did you run:

/usr/lpp/diagnostics/bin/uesensor -l

If so, did it give you the results you needed?

Chuck

ibm10:/home/root (4496)#usr/lpp/diagnostics/bin/uesensor -l
ksh: usr/lpp/diagnostics/bin/uesensor: not found

Shane

what do you get when you type:

lslpp -l devices.chrp.base.diag

the uesensor command is part of the fileset.

Chuck

ibm10:/home/root (4497)#lslpp -l devices.chrp.base.diag

Then you should have the uesensor command. I noticed that your ran it from your home directory and didn't specify a leading '/'. Try the following again:

/usr/lpp/diagnostics/bin/uesensor -l

exactly as it is above.

Chuck
