Hi,

I am on Business Objects XI R1 and have scheduled list of values(cascading). The system is installed on Unix(One Box)

The problem I am having is that everything works but when viewing the report in InfoView it takes about 15 seconds to load the prompt screen even though the LOV is scheduled.

I have about 800 reports and about a 100 of them are scheduled and the remainder are on demand.

Does anyone know why it takes so long to load the prompt screen? Is this due to having all the BO Enterprise Servers all on one box?

Thanks.

How many "possible values" are you returning to the PROMPTS when you View-On-Demand?

20 Records.

for first parameter which is a cascading parameter.

seconf parameter is 15 records which is static.

Can you make another copy of that RPT - WITHOUT the Dynamic Parameters - just have BLANK params that need to be manually entered.

How long does it take the parameter PROMPTS to appear when you View-On-Demand for another RPT with no Default prompts set-up?

Compare the times between those two reports, that will tell you how much time is consumed just to connect to the RPT and open the Param screen before the LOV gets involved.
