Hi

How would I list all unix users including weather password has been set. Can we also include created date and other attributes?

which version of solaris

under sol 10

"listusers" shows the users

look in the /etc/shadow file

it will list the hashed passwords next to the user

logins (List all users)
logins -p (Will list users without a password)
logins -m (List what groups each user is in)
logins -x (All users, groups, home directory, gecos, login shell, password aging -if available-, Locked, No Password, last changed, etc....)

Also, the command "[tt]passwd -sa[/tt]" will show who has a password set (PS), who's locked (LK), who has no password (NP), and who's not allowed to login (NL). This is a little easier to parse if you're putting it into a script.
