the browser of choice for web developpers that want true standards support! opera ( is "free" but you have to have this annoying ad or pay to get it removed. Gary Haran

Being a web developer you always have to be concerned about the 2% issues. It's a good habit to have. The only time you shouldn't take all the browsers into consideration is when a intranet etc.. is only running one and that is what you target at that point. There are those few clients that really don't care though ![[bomb]](/data/assets/smilies/bomb.gif "[bomb] [bomb]")

There is also OPERA. This is free, but you can buy the version that doesn't have the add banners.

But dont about 98% of the market belong to netscape and IE..? Why worry about the other 2%
Well I wouldn't worry about the other 2% at all if I were you. However I would build my site to be compliant with the standards. If everyone supports standards then it shouldn't be a problem at all for that other 2% and you shouldn't be spending 98% of your time attempting to serve 2% of your user base. Gary Haran
