I am new to programing/access, Just to warn you..LOL

I have created a database, everything is working properly.
now I am making a few ajustments and wanted to (instead of having a ton of check boxs, change one area into a multi select list.

I have tried a few codes taken from books but none have worked so far. (think its me).

this list will be models for a year, it needs to refrence a form that will store those models so that at the end of the year or durning the course of a year, I can update it.

as a record is shifted in the main form the list must reset for each record. can anyone help!

The following paragraph is not clear, quote....

this list will be models for a year, it needs to refrence a form that will store those models so that at the end of the year or durning the course of a year, I can update it.

Will the listbox on the form look up values from a table?

Will the list box be bound to a field of a recordset?

Also the following is unclear, quote...

as a record is shifted in the main form the list must reset for each record.

Please expand on this.

Yes ImpMan it will be a list that looks up values in a table.

Could you please expand further upon your original post.

Thanks.

Im sorry ImpMan, I guess what I need is code for a multiselect list box. I think the rest of it will follow. : ) I may (not being a true programer) have over expland what I need this form to do.

So if you have a bit of code for a multiselect list box and can exsplain in detail how to implement it I would be in debt.

the table I have to populate the list box is called ModelID
the Form that the list box is on is called ProfileFM
how do I code the multiselect list box? (in detail please)
thanks for your time and help ImpMan.: )

Major,

I haven't had the opportunity to create a multiselect listbox myself, but I have a book that goes into great detail that you might want to look for. It is "Access 97 Developer's Handbook", was written by Litwin, Getz and Gilbert and is from SYBEX. This book is excellent for fairly new to experienced Access developers and comes with a CD with all the code in the book. I really suggest it... Terry M. Hoey
