Hi, how do I list all databases that exist in system (Oracle).

Simon.

One way to do this is with the Oracle Database Configuration Assistant. If you log in to your server and open this tool, you will get an option to change database configuration. Pick this option and you will get a list of all instances defined on the server.

Do the same for all servers in your system and that will give you all the databases.

Of course you have to be aware of issues such as Oracle parallel server, which allows one database to be running on multiple servers.

Since this is an SQL forum, you're probably asking:
How do I list the tables that exist in the Oracle Instance I am connected to:

All Oracle tables can be seen in (according to your privilege level) a table called User_Tables. You may have access to another table called ALL_Tables, but again it depends on you privileges.

To list the column names found in the tables, you may select from All_Tab_Columns or User_Tab_Columns.

Cheers, for that, ill give it a go.
