Is it possible to set the color of headings in list boxes?

I don't think so. They just take the same attributes as the rest of the list box. Alex Middleton

Thanks. I was almost sure that was the answer but it never hurts to check on Tek Tips. Frequently one or the other of the gurus have found a way around some of Access's limitations.

Thanks again.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm,

Larry,

YOu could TRY making the list box transparent and just place empty labels behind the headings with their background colors set to whatever. To comoplete the illusion, you woule also need one behind the remainder of the box with the 'traditional (white) background.

Alternative might be to just place your custom (colored)labels over the list box header.

Michael:

Tried both.

List boxes don't have a back style property so I can't set it to transparent.

I did create an empty label and set a color but it just disappears behind the list box. I tried sending the label to the front and the list box to the back but that didn't work either.

It's just a cosmetic thing, but I think it would look a bit more professional if the headers were highlighted in some manner.

Thanks for the reply.

Don't put the "Headings" in the list box at all. Place labels 'above' the list box w/ your 'headings'?

Now why didn't I think of that. I've done the same thing with subforms in continuous format.

We'll blame it on Friday burn-out.

Thanks.
