Liquify does this wierd square thing in the preview then when I click ok, it looks normal (Like the liquify command worked) Any idea how I can see the end result in the preview window too?

Russell Preston Brown (Adobe Staff) has a very nice Quicktime tutorial on the liquify feature here.
Look for liquify alert, it may answer some of your questions.
It's probably best to download first then view.
