Hallo everyone,

I am looking for opinions.

What would you recomend as the easiest, most stable, most secure way of managing a mail server (adding groups, aliases, users etc)? I have heard conflicting storys on Linuxconf that has scared me of a bit. I have never used Webmin. Personally the command line is ok, but it would be nice to use a tool like one of these....
System is RH7.3.

Any body care to share their opinions, experiences ?

Webmin works well. For security, you can set Webmin to allow access from only certain IP addresses. For example, I have webmin set to allow access only from my private work ip address and my home ip range (which is dynamic). This makes me more comfortable having webmin running.

Webmin should do the trick. If your concerned about security check the documentation at Webmin to configure it for use with SSL.

I manage 27 servers using webmin and would not do without it.

I agree. Webmin brings the control of all your servers and system into one place. You can get it at but be sure to get the "noarch" rpm. This one installs the easiest.
