We are using Redhat 6.0 and have noticed that when aliases are added, deleted, edited using Linuxconf it overwrites the most current aliases file with an older file it gets from somewhere. Any lines in the aliases file with multiple includes are concatenated. It only keeps the first include reference. Anyone have any idea why or how to prevent this from occuring besides using vi or emacs to edit the aliases file directly???

Hmmm.... I know you said 'besides using vi or emacs', but... AFAIK, linuxconf, like many, many reliable Linux programs, is still under development. ie, there may be bugs in there... I'd start by seeing if there's an updated RPM for linuxconf that fixes this problem.<br>

If the problem still exists, then it's off to vi and emacs land, I'm afraid. (Once you've sent off your bug report to the linuxconf developers, of course ;^)
