Linux Workstation TCO

I am in the exploratory phase of determining whether or not it would be beneficial for the organization I work for to migrate from Windows 2000 Professional to a Linux workstation. Recently I setup my first Linux workstation, and I must say that I am impressed.

It appears that the major applications I will be needing such as an office suite, drawing programs, etc. are available without any problems. Additionally, our parent organization uses several Citrix servers and sicne Citrix has a Linux client available, that is not an issue.

One thing I would like to prepare is an estimate of the Total Cost of Ownership of a Linux workstation. Can someone direct me to a spreadsheet, or steer me in the right direction for this? I have never had to prepare a TCO estimate before and to be honest, I am at a complete loss as where to start.

Slashdot just posted an article on this subject yesterday. There are probably some comments of interest to you there. I've never worked with Linux in a corporate environment, so I can't say one way or the other.
