linux timeout

i am running redhat 8.0 as a web server using tomcat 5.0

things run swimmingly for hours but at some unknown time i can no longer access my web app {ipaddress:8080/webapp}(although i can access the tomcat test page {ipaddress:8080} )

also, after i lose access to my web app, when i log on to the physical server and try to access the internet via my mozilla browser that fails also. my only remedy seems to be to re-boot and let it run again until it stops.

can someone please tell me how to rememdy this situation?

Upgrade? RH8 is very old. Sorry, but you're asking for support on something that is long not supported by the vendor themselves?

what does your var/log/httpd/error_log show? Also you can probably do an 'httpd restart' instead of rebooting.

probably need to do
/etc/ini.d/network restart
if he can't get out the rest of the world... But it'll still time out again on him... How is that computer connected the WWW?
