Linux Starter

Hi Everyone,

I am just only a new starter when it comes to Linux OS. I already installed the OS but i don't know how to use it. May I ask everyone who could give me the best book/s that I should read which is intended for a new one like me.Title of the book that offers the best tutorial I could ever have. Or any free download of tutorials(PDF Format), because I am having a hard time looking for it.

Check out the Linux Documentation Project at en.tldp.org , where you can download all sorts of documentation, including beginners' guides. There are also many printed books on the subject; your choice depends on how you want to use the system.

this book is pretty interesting for some in depth explanation on some facets of the system:

you can probably find a copy to browse at your local borders/barnes & noble/whatever large-ish book retailer.
there is also a newbie tutorial on the linux.org site (i am pretty sure that it is debian specific).
also check your distros site, some have pretty good documentation for their specific distro.

There has to more information available on-line regarding linux than almost any other topic.

But you will probably want to buy a book at some point. The right book will depend on your computer background and what you are trying to do with linux.
