I am running Redhat 7.2. I want to be able to run a java
app or something on my windows box so I can control the exact desktop of my redhat machine. If you have any ideas please help.
If you need to control your desktop in terminal mode, just use telnet.
If you need to control it in X-windows mode, then there are x-windows terminals that will run on your Windows machine. I don't know if there are any free ones out right now, but there are several commercial versions available.
To control your Linux computer try using SSH in place of Telnet. Telnet is not secure. I think I heard someone talking about a program so you could control your Linux desktop (GUI) remotely but I can't remember the name.
