hi,
i installed a proxy under Linux (Mandrake 8.0).
This allows internet access to my local network (under Windows 2000).
Everything is fine, i can get/send my mails from the windows computers and go on many websites except some like or
do you have any ideas of what is wrong?
Thanks for your help

Maxime

unless you specified something explicitly there should be no reason why some sites work while others don't.
on your proxy try to load those sites in a browser (use "lynx" if your in text mode - hit "g" then type the url). this shouldn't use the proxying software.
also if your isp has a proxy you can tell squid to use it as a parent to boost performance a little.
squid will also cache realaudio if you set your real player settings to use port 80 for the streams. there is a proper rtspd server but i'm not sure if it's packaged in mandrake.
