Hello.
I'd like to ask for help.
I'm trying linux on VMware.
Sometimes IP of linux system differs to the IP assigned before.
Is it so that I need to set up one static IP in linux from the range that VM assigns by default to have it all the time the same?

Your IP is probably being allocated by DHCP... the 'D' means dynamic, so it will not always be the same.

Yes, you need to configure your network interface with a static IP if you want it to stay the same.

What flavour of Linux?

Thanks.
I did it yesterday and hope now will be allways the same.
One question. How we know IP range that VM offers?

PS. It's fedora release 15

Thank you very much for the answer and links.
