Hey gang

I want to know if its possible to have a Linux server with a permanent connection to the internet acting as server / proxy / firewall to my windows network. I have 3 machines all windows and would like to put a linux sevrer on the end to use the outstanding firewall I hear so much about.

Is this possible ?
Is this difficult ?

Thanks for any help

Hi,
You can use squid proxy server which is very easy to configure and very efficient and native to linux.

As others have suggested, you can use ipchains to configure the firewall or you can also use xfwp which is basically X firewall Proxy on Linux.

Mahesh
