I have Fedora Core 2 installed on a dual PII 333. I am using it as a web/ftp/file server. I am trying to figure out how to start the VNC server side so I can view it from my Windows machine and free up a port on my KVM switch. I have VNC workstation and server on my windows machine and just the workstation on my Linux machine. I can view windows on my linux side but not the other way around. Please help.

You, er, need to install the VNC server on your Linux box?

Which VNC software do you have installed on your RH box? There's a few out there for GNU/Linux.

"Well, that's something," Avi says. "Normally those two are mutually exclusive."

I have whatever came with Fedora 2. I am not sure what the name of the VNC program is. Sorry.

To Start

vncserver [:display#] [-name desktop-name] [-geometry widthxheight] [-depth depth] [-pixelformat format] [Xvnc-options...]

To Stop

vncserver -kill :display#

These are snippits from the man page, if you need more information let me know.
