Hello,

i have a server running Red Hat8 which has a couple of file systems that are exported for NFS mounts. Yesterday these mounts were ok and now when i attempt to mount them on another server i get the following message:-

RPC: Rpcbind failure - RPC: Unable to receive

i have rebooted the servers and tried all kinds of things but i just cannot get these to mount!

Has anyone come across this before and if so how was it fixed?

cheers

may be you enable some firewall? (iptables)

issue:

rpcinfo -p host

iptables -L

Chacal, Inc.[wavey]

Make sure that the mount daemon is running. Would suggest restarting it....
