I have installed Mandrake 9.0 without the "errata" (for some ps2 mouse problems) and now am experiecing mouse problems!!! is there any way to fix ex-post???

ok, but how can I start DrakX when everytime I start linux my mouse is out of control! Is there a way I can run it without the X?

The first place I would check is your /etc/XF86Config or Config-4. I don't use Mandrake, so I wouldn't know which one it uses.

Verify the mouse is correctly listed and that you are using the one listed.

I'm still not quite sure where you are, but I'll assume that you have one user set to boot automatically into KDE. If you're somewhere else you will ultimately need to get to a terminal window as root. If you're where I think you are, try this:

On the keyboard, hit the right Windows key. A menu will pop up. Use the up/down arrow keys to get to 'Terminals'. Use the right arrow key to the sub-menu. Use the up/down arrow keys to navigate to 'Konsole - Super User Mode'. Hit the Enter key. If the tip of the day pops up, hit Enter to close it. Type the root password and Enter. Type mousedrake. Use the arrow keys to select your mouse and hit enter.
