Linux LDAP (MS AD)

Granted my environment isn't M$ based but I connect directly to eDirectory using LDAP via a proxy user account to authenticate my linux boxes (opensuse and gentoo).
Anyway, openLDAP has such capabilities. Check out this PDF from the openldap website. You should also take a look at this article from the SysAdmin mag.
Eventually I'll deploy a LDAP proxy so keep us posted on your project.
