I installed RH 7.3 on my system and it killed my Win98 installation, meaning I cannot seem to access it any more.

I used the auto-installer.

My system is set up like this:

HD 1
Partition 1 2GB Fat32
Empty Space 12 GB

HD2
Partition 1 6.4 GB empty

I did not partition the empty space on HD 1. I did not create a logical drive or anything, assuming RH 7.3 would call that "free space".

When the boot menu came up it had Linux and Dos. I selected DOS and it came up with an error message. I forget what it was but I think it was telling me that the DOS partition was no longer accessible.

Any suggestions? What could I have done wrong?

Have you got a DOS diskette ?
If so, try fdisk /mbr. That might bring your windoZe back. Then you'll need a linux boot disk to get into linux, because the fidsk /mbr has reset your master boot record. Just fix the mbr from within linux (use grub or lilo) so you can dual boot.
G'luck.

Thanks! I'll give it a try.

I have several computers so losing Win98 on this one is no biggie. I've got a ghost image on the network so it's 10 minutes and I'm back up and running. ;-)
