linux is lock

hi
i saw a linux box in server room that was worked without any problem but not let me login to it because i dont see any bash prompt i think it was sleep or lock or ....
i want setup my linux box too
( exusme i dont know english very well)

Hi,

Try ctl-alt-F2, ctl-alt-F3, etc. Plus chcek the keyboard is plugged in, theres no KVM in use, etc. If there are no login prompts and the box looks like it is powered on then you have little choice but to power cycle the box and go through the fcsk (filesystem check) procedure on reboot .
