Hi !

On a linux-client i configured a in- and exclude_list
as follows

# include_list
#
/Daten/Users-home
/Daten/Projekte
/Daten/Projekt-CVS
/Daten/oracle/admin
/etc
#

# exclude_list
#
/
/Daten
/Daten/oracle
/Daten/oracle/oradata
/Daten/oracle/oradata/MPFRDEV
/Daten/lost+found
/DBserve
/bin
/boot
/dev
/initrd
/lib
/lost+found
/misc
/mnt
/opt
/proc
/root
/sbin
/tmp
/usr
/var
#

Problem -->
Netbackup try to backup the directory
/Daten/oracle/oradata/MPFRDEV within 2 Files that are > 2 GB , although i have exclude this, and the job exited with status 1 ( partially succesfull ), because the files to big and can´t backedup.

Netbackup dont try to backup other subdirectories in /Daten/oracle/oradata.

Other backups in the same class/policy works fine.

The option cross mount points on server is on.

Anybody knows what can i do ?
Should i try the /* ?

Systeminfo :

Netbackup DC 4.5
Server SunSolaris 8
Client RedHat Linux

I've come across this before, where you have an error on a file you don't want to backup anyway. It seems to try and access the files first and then check if it needs to back them up anyway. I think the way around it is to set the Exclude one level up the directory path and then use the Include to cover everything you do want at the lower level.
