Hi.. I have a linux gateway with two nics, one external, one internal... external has ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, which works fine. It can be pinged to, and telnet'ed, ftp'ed and all that.. the internal is 192.168.1.1. This nic can ping every workstation on the network, and every station can ping it... My problem is that I can't get the worstations to see the internet, so I'm having problems with my linux routing.. How do I fix this (I need the exact commands please) (turn on ip masquerading? forwarding? ipchains??)

PLEASE HELP!! Apreciate any suggestions

Make sure that your windoze PC's have the default gateway set to the linux 192.168.1.1 address.
Then its down to routing.

Cant remebr the route command off the top of my head tho. ***************************************
Party on, dudes!

You might want to check the Masquerading howto:

Because the commands widely vary for the different kernels (2.0, 2.2 and 2.4) it is in your best interest to read that and if you have questions after that come back and post them. We will, however, need more information on your setup. :)

Cheers!
