I recently changed from windows to linux on my PC, when searching for a piece of software i required, i found that it was only avaliable for "linux for intel", i have corel linux, and an AMD proccessor, so what does that mean, am i unable to use the software or what needs to be done to allow me to. If it is not possible, then do you know of any software for linux for instant messaging, using a hotmail (urrgh) email address, (the only reason i am using this is because, all my friends are on it.) that is easy to set up, rather than having to add all kinds of information when setting up.

Unless it is highly CPU sensitive, they probably are being generic- having written it for 80x86 architectures, but probably not specifically Intel.

If it's free stuff, just try it, if not, ask the vendor, but you are probably fine. Tony Lawrence
