Is there a way to have a Linux Server's DNS tables sychronized (act as a secondary DNS) to a Windows Based DNS Server?

Yes, it can be done, I will post a solution tomorrow if you had no help yet.

As a matter of interest, why tow the car with the trailer? We have Linux mail relay/primary DNS servers which has uptimes of over a year, something we cannot achieve with our Windows servers due to endless reboots after each security update. This does not make for an ideal primary DNS server at the beat of times. IBM Certified Confused - MQSeries

Just set up your Linux DNS server as a secondary server in the existing zone, just as you would as if a Linux host was the primary. Add an 'NS' and 'A' record for the Linux box in the zone, and tell the Windows server to send a copy of the database to the Linux box periodically. This also works on Active Directory-intergrated zones, where a Windows server must be the authoritative server.
