Linux data-recovery application?

Here is my predicament.

I used CD-based KNOPPIX to boot up, and mount a (Windows XP) NTFS volume that had become unbootable. Sadly, the volume was pretty much gobbledygook.

Any floppy-based Linux apps that you know of that might be able to work on the problem of getting that drive readable?

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Thanks...the top one looks good, although is Windows 2000/NT FS the same thing as "NTFS?"
