Hello,

I know very little about Linux. I recently received a computer from a friend with Linux Red Hat 6.2 on it and I've been trying to find out the computers spec i.e. RAM and HD space. Is there a command I can type in to give me all the specs?

Thanks,
Rob

For memory:

cat /proc/meminfo

For CPU:

cat /proc/cpuinfo

For the disks:

cat /proc/partitions

(hda being the first IDE drive, hda1 the first partition, hdb the second drive.)

Hope this helps. [smurf]
