Which image file did you use, does it matter...???!!! Is it simply a case of downloading the ISO file onto CD and booting from it...??? (...to install Linux...)
I installed RedHat 7.2 @ home, and the whole process was easy as. The installer is very intuitive, and after installing the ICA Client, connected to MF servers no problems.
In the case of RH - yes, burn the ISO to CD and boot.
WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
Be careful with the boot partition options if you plan to dual-boot the system!!
