We are running Legato 6.1.3 on HP-UX host with several clients. We upgraded Server to Networker 6.1.3. All clients adapted but one Linux box. Another local Linux box is running 6.1.1 Client software and is communicating successfully. We upgraded problem Linux box to 6.1.1 but that did not help. The following is the error message. I just know there is a simple configuration step we have missed. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

check the /nsr/res/servers file on the client=rtctdb01.
Make sure it has the server's hostname (short and FQDN), and also add in the i.p address.

Then try backing up again.

Does manual backups still work?

What release of HP UX are you running? We are having like problems on HPUX 11.I. It seems to work running a single save.

Try running the following from the client:
DSTAMP=$(date +%h%d_%H%M)
echo $DSTAMP
for I in 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8; do
echo $I
save -s <your Legato server name> /etc/hosts 1>std_out/save.out$I.$DSTAMP 2>&1 &
done

Hi,
I have found that if the Networker server has more than one network interface that I must put the ip address of the Networker server in the /etc/hosts file on the Linux client for it to backup properly.
