Can anyone tell me if there are any LINUX certification programs other than Red Hat's?

Also, what are the top 3 LINUX distributions? My guess is: Red Hat, Caldera and ??????

Thanks

Hi,

The main one is the Linux Professional Institute with LPI 101 + 102 (part 1 & 2) -->
.

More recently the A+, Network+ ,etc people have brought out Linux+ -->

On the other one - it all depends on where you are. Caldera is one of the oldest distros of all but is not that popular in the mainstream at all. They took over SCO unix not too long ago and market themselves as very much on the professional/corporate side. I believe Redhat remains #1 but, In Europe the German origin Suse and French origin Mandrake are very big indeed. In the Far East the #1 is TurboLinux. Overall, I'd guess the big three are Redhat, Suse, & Mandrake.

Hope this helps
