Linux Backups

I am having a problem backing up one of our Linux servers. The Linux OS is Debian, I have created a crontab as suggested to check for a restart of services. All firewall ports are configured on the commvault side and all firewall ports are configured on the Linux side. The setup is the exact same as the other Linux servers I back up. Everyday the job goes to pending with a network error and the services have to be restarted, once that happens the job runs.

I am not a Linux admin so all the Linux stuff is done by someone else and he says that it is setup the same way as the other Linux servers. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
