I have a RedHat 8.0 and I am trying to connect to a HPUX server that is running as a samba server. When I type
smb://FrankServer/homes I get the "enter login and password"
screen then the Linux box searches but seems to never finds anything. I then type: smb://FrankServer and I see all the folders in the smb.conf file but, once again, I cannot still access the ones I have permissions too after putting in my login name and password. How do I get in from a linux box?

Thank You

Did you try mounting it from the shell? I never trust those graphical browsers... //Daniel
