Does anyone know of a free linux Anti-spam solution to act as a gateway to an exchange 2000 Mail Server?

Many thanks

I use Postfix with RBL enabled, SpamAssassin and SQLGrey. It blocks about 99.999% of our spam.

Hi,

I've got a setup similar to what you asked about - been using ASSP ( for about 6 months on a Windows gateway and recently moved it to a new Linux box. So far, working really well and provides a number of protection features for your internal mail server.

I also just added MailScanner to the Linux box for added protection against phishing attacks so you may want ot look at that as well.

Hope this helps...

I used qmail with qmail-scanner, spamassassin and clamav. It did an excellent job of filtering out spam and viruses. You need to decide which MTA to use...postfix, qmail or sendmail (not recommended).
