Hi

I am trying to install a Qlogic FCA2214 card in Linus 2.1 Adv. Server, Can anybody explain to me or give me the url where i will get the clear guide to install the driver and present the disk from HP Storage EVA6000.

thanks

Sounds like you need to check a few options in your kernel to activate support for the card (that's where all of the drivers are).
Let us know if you need more help, like a tutorial to kernel compiling (but those should be available online).

-Haben sie fosforos?
-No tiengo caballero, but I have un briquet.

This is a good link:

or ftp to ftp.kernel.org
cd to /pub/linux/kernel/v2.6 or pub/linux/kernel/v2.4 and
get the kernel tar file of your choice.

mv it to /usr/src or some other appropriate spot, gunzip
and tar -xvf it. Then make xconfig, adjust options for your
hardware, make bzImage, make modules, make install and make modules_install.

BEFORE make install, do back up your /boot directory, and make sure you have your currently bootable kernel setup as a backup in /etc/lilo.conf if using Lilo. =)

Kordaff <--currently running a rh9 installed last night - xp on same drive seemed to renumber the partition table... doh. Ever boot a FC4 cd from the hd? It's interesting.
