I'm currently running Red Hat 6.2. I have a couple of DOS programs I'd like to run. However when I try to install DOSEmu it keeps failing on dependencies. Will WINE run DOS programs? Don Swayser

Hi,

Not sure wine will help - You should be able to get around the dependencies thing though :

Looking at the dependencies, the only vaguely obscure one is mtools . So try installing that first and then re-try dosemu :

ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/redhat/6.2/en/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS/mtools-3.9.6-3.i386.rpm

(assuming you're installing the following:)
ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/redhat/6.2/en/powertools/i386/i386/dosemu-0.99.13-6.i386.rpm

Install as root with :

rpm -Uvh mtools-3.9.6-3.i386.rpm
rpm -Uvh dosemu-0.99.13-6.i386.rpm

If you still get errors post some details...

Hope this helps
