Right way? Wrong way? Difficult things to judge when talking about learning something... I'm in the same boat as you though, so I'll tell you what I'm doing...In the A+ department, I've got a couple of books, one of my own, one my company bought. CDs were included with each, so I'm going through that material also. More importantly, I'm experimenting -- fooling with things on my home machine, taking machines apart, familiarizing myself with different things. For Linux, I'm doing basically the same thing. No multimedia instructional CDs, but I bought a Red Hat book with CDs, set up a Linux partition on my machine at home, and started reading man pages, looking at config files, attempting to do things... I actually wouldn't recommend exactly what I did -- the Red Hat book hasn't been as helpful as I thought. I've gotten much better information from the net.The bottom line is that you have to find what works for you to learn the stuff... Flash cards for some things might not be bad (like all those A+ details I'd never had to worry about in working with computers all my life). Experience will likely be the best teacher, so don't just read a book or take a course. Work with the information... Gotta integrate it if you want to work in the field so that you can refer to the knowledge and apply it. It's not like studying for a history test.Hope this helps. Good luck!
