Hello,

I am experiencing problem backing up the *nix machines.

I get an error:
"Unable to attach to SERVERNAME/root
Unable to attach to SERVERNAME/root
The connection to target system has been lost. Backup set canceled.
The connection to target system has been lost. Backup set canceled."

When i create a backup job i can brows through the directories on the machine without any problems, i can access everything i need.
The backupexec agent is running find on remote servers.

What is the problem?
If somebody has experienced something like that and knows how to fix it, i would appreciate your help.
Thank you,

Are you running a support flavor of unix for your version of Backup Exec?
Have you tried file copies or ftp copies between the media server and linix box to ensure there is no network lag issue?

It all works fine after i rebooted the be server.
But before i tried to restarted all of the processes , it did not help.
I look like that BE (at lease the version i am using, 9.00 rev.4454) is pretty buggy...
Thank you for the reply to my post.
