After looking back at past threads, I downloaded the linux admin password 'fixer' and have been testing it on a system that has several administration accounts. I've tried different varieties of password such as all lower case, all upper, all numerals etc, but it doesn't work.
Following the change of password, I cannot login as administrator (it doesn't recognise the new or the old password). I can, however, login as an alternative admin and reset the administrator password (which then works ok). I assume from this that the 'fixer' is not corrupting the SAM.
Am I missing something, guys and girls?
The PC is running W2Kpro SP2
