linux 8.0 network card

I have 3COM 3c905-TX network card. Pentium2. I cannot activate my network device. On the ethernet device dialog box, It show correct network driver. My router is working fine. Do any body know how to solve this problem?

have you done a dmesg? Does it show the kernel loading the drivers?

What about ifconfig, what does it show?
