I have come across a really strange problem whilst helping out a friend who has bought the WKPC54g Networking kit.

The scenario is that there is a laptop (XP) with the Linksys PCMCIA network card and a PC running UBUNTU (linux) which is wired to the router

All seems OK and the wireless functionality was fine ..

The PC has got samba shares to enable the laptop to share files and also the PC can see the laptop's shares as well.

After about 15mins connectivty fails - and all network/internet is lost. Power off the router and then back on again and all is well for about the same amount of time - then same problem again.

We thought it was therefore the router - so took it back and got a complete new set.

Plugged the new router in and all seemed OK - except the same problem then occurred ... reboot the router and all is OK again.

Have plugged the Power for the router into it's own socket just in case the 4-gang was faulty - seemed OK for a while - but same problem occurs.

Everything seems OK from both PC's (internet/networking /file and printer sharing)
for a while and then suddenly everthing is lost and the Router just hangs up. A power off and then back on again solves the problem every time

Anybody got any thoughts on this

Thanks in advance
