I have four computers set up on dsl with linksys router and 3 usb network adapters. The xp ones aren't work right although everything is set up from the instructions. It keeps losing the signal on the main dsl line into the office. is there something I need to shut off to make it more stable.

linksys wireless router and adapter problems

1. Update the router's firmware. If this is the BEFW11S4 Version 4 router it is imperitive that you do the firmware upgrade.
2. On all wireless clients, disable the 802.1x authentication option.
3. On all XP clients using wireless adapters, remove Hotfix #815485 using Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs.
As to firmware:
Version 4 of this router was updated 7/29/2003 V. 1.453
Version 2 and Version 3 were updated 4/24/2003 V. 1.45z
